D'Angel’s Outstanding Performances, while ‘Sizzle’ approaches
With expectation growing towards the return of another calendar event, formerly known as Summer Sizzle, D’Angel excellently kicked up her blazing pace a notch, leading up to this event which is now dubbed ‘Beenie Man’s Sizzle’ on August 6, 2008 at Jamalco Sports Complex in Clarendon. This past week D'Angel dazzled the audience at Ochi Seafood Festival and JCDC’s World Reggae Dance Championships.

“Ochi Seafood Festival – August 3, 2008”

The Ochi Seafood Festival came to a close on Sunday August 3 after D'Angel performed for a patient audience mixed with children, teenagers, and adults alike. The festival was held at the Turtle River Park and it also featured performances from the likes of Jimmy Riley, Little Hero, Anthony Cruz, I-Octane, Professor Nuts amongst other artistes. The audience was waiting patiently for the D’Angel and as she entered the venue, she was greeted with a warm welcome and a frenzy swarm of fans as she made her way to the stage. An excellent performance best described D’Angel’s tenure on the stage.

D’Angel could not do any wrong as she had the audience at her mercy for almost half-an-hour, while she unleashed hits from her blossoming catalogue. The audience sang along to every song she performed. Among the treats she unleashed were Blaze, High Intensity, Caan Stall, Whisper, Downtown Girl, Baby Father, Don’t Hate, Talk Is Cheap, Real Gangster, and Stronger. The promoters of the Festival stated: "Despite the rainy weather conditions, D'Angel's presence was certainly felt and her performance was very excellent, she was the headline act for this year's event and we are definitely looking forward to next year."

“JCDC’s World Reggae Dance Championships – August 1, 2008”

Ranny Williams Center in Kingston was the location for the grand finals of the JCDC’s World Reggae Dance Championships on Friday, August 1, 2008. The Dance Championship was broadcasted live on TVJ and saw a huge gathering and participation from dancers from all over Jamaica.

Quite a few infamous dancers were present, Shelly Belly, Ice, Dance Xpressions, Craigy Dread, to name a few; along with all the competitors vying for the grand prize of the Dance Championships. Before her scheduled performance, D'Angel signed autographs, took pictures with fans and seized the opportunity to lyme with the audience. D'Angel sensitized her performance due to the fact that the audience mainly comprised of teenagers and children.

As she departed the stage, she was greeted by Honorable Minister Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange and they took advantage of the various photo opportunities from the media personnel.
